The time between Commencement and graduate summer session is traditionally pretty quiet here at the Wheelock College Library, but that doesn’t mean that you should stay away. Here’s a sampling of what we have to offer if you’re not in classes and don’t “need” the Library:
- Museum passes: We have passes for free or discounted admission to a variety of area museums, including the Museum of Science, the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, and the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston and the Stone Zoo in Stoneham. Ask for them at the Circulation Desk on Floor 1.
- Newspapers and magazines: We have daily subscriptions to the Boston Globe and the New York Times, as well as a variety of other newspapers. We also have magazines you want to read, like Boston Magazine, Newsweek, Rolling Stone and Vogue, among others. Current issues are on the Lower Level; back issues can be found on Floor 3.
- Videos and DVDs: While most of the collection is academic in nature, we do have a selection of feature films on Floor 2, as well as juvenile titles (including some Disney favorites) on Floor 2M.
Come on in and see what the Library can do to make your summer more enjoyable!
