Late night Library hours return

The Library will now offer late night hours twice a week, staying open until 1 a.m. every Sunday and Wednesday for the rest of the semester, starting this Sunday, September 23.

Doors will lock at 10:45 p.m., so you’ll need to use your Wheelock ID or call the Circulation Desk at ext. 2220 to be let in. All Library services will be available, but remember, the Circulation Desk closes 15 minutes before the Library closes for the night, so make sure to check out or return any items before 12:45 a.m.

Book Exchange

The Library’s Book Exchange has been relocated to Floor 1 near the Circulation Desk. The motto is, “Take a book, leave a book, read for fun!”

Everyone is welcome to choose books from the selections on the cart, or leave books others may enjoy. You never know what you might find — mystery or romance, fantasy or memoir — so check back often for more options.

The Book Exchange is completely free, but it needs your support and contributions to keep it going. You don’t have to leave a book to take one, but if no one leaves any books, there won’t be any for others to take! So check your shelves for books to give. You never know who might pick it up and enjoy it as much as you did.

Science fun for all

The Museum of Science will hold a free College Night on Monday, September 10, from 4 to 10 p.m. The exhibit halls will be open, and there will be laser shows, 3-D presentations and other live programs. Timed tickets for shows and presentations are first-come, first-served. Though the museum’s IMAX theater is closed for renovations, students will receive complimentary passes to see one of the large-format films when the theater reopens later this year.

All you need is a valid college ID. So get out and see what that the Museum of Science has to offer! Click here for more information.

Not a student? Can’t make it to the museum on Monday? The Library has coupons for discounted admission — there is one coupon available per day, but each coupon admits up to four people for $5 each. Additionally, the coupons will allow patrons to purchase discounted tickets for CSI: The Experience, a special exhibit coming to the museum from September 30 to January 1.

Stop by the Library to pick up a pass or for more information.
