More than books

Chances are if you like a book, you’ll like other things written by the book’s author. Many juvenile literature authors have blogs or websites:

Night owls rejoice! Weekly extended hours are here

We’ve surveyed the Wheelock College community and the results are in: Wednesday is the night of choice for the Library to stay open for extended hours. So every Wednesday during regular semester hours, starting this week, January 24, the Library will be open until 1 a.m. Doors will lock at 10 p.m., so you’ll need to use your Wheelock ID or call the Circulation Desk at ext. 2220 to be let in. We’ll have coffee and snacks, while supplies last.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our survey!

Welcome Back and Welcome Aboard!

We hope you all had a wonderful break and that you’ve returned full of energy for the spring semester. You will find numerous new titles in the Library’s collection since December, including Just a Mom and Love, Ellen: a mother/daughter journey by Betty DeGeneres, the featured speaker at the Half Year Program.

The start of the new semester also brings a new staff member to the Library. Susan Buzzell has joined us as Reference and Instruction Librarian. She comes to us from Castleton State College in Vermont. She will be conducting information literacy and bibliographic instruction sessions, as well as providing research assistance. Come by floor 1M and say hello!
