Haunted Library on October 29

For a “spooktacular” time, join us on Wednesday, October 29, at the Haunted Library from 9 to 11 p.m. Free food! Scary stories! Creepy costumes! Come by for Halloween fun!


The event is free, but donations will be accepted to support the work of Mary O’Grady, who spoke about her work in Belize and Afghanistan at Convocation.


Won’t you wear a sweater?

Everyone everywhere is encouraged to wear a sweater on Thursday, March 20, to commemorate what would have been the 80th birthday of Mister Rogers. But don’t take our word for it: Mr. McFeely, your speedy deliveryman, has invited you to participate!

Fred Rogers is known throughout the world for his commitment to encouraging the healthy emotional growth of children and their families, and has received honors as varied as induction into the Television Hall of Fame and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In 2002, he received an honorary degree from Wheelock College as well as the first annual WHEEL Award from the Wheelock Family Theatre.

Rogers died of cancer in 2003, but his legacy lives on in the nearly 900 episodes of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” produced for PBS, as well as a large collection of books, videos and audio recordings. The Wheelock College Library holds a number of these items, which can be found in the catalog by doing an author search for “Rogers, Fred.”
