Scope and Contents: Collections 1A through 1M are stored as a continuous, and growing, collection -- and all contain papers and records related to past and present presidents of the Wheelock School and of Wheelock College.
The Gordon Marshall Collection in the Records of the Office of the President documents the life and professional work of Marshall, ninth President of Wheelock College. The collection contains biographical materials, memorandums, clippings, and correspondence, as well as administrative files relating to the "cost of instruction" at Wheelock and the long range planning study that took place at Wheelock in 1974. Also included are the program from Marshall's inauguration and an open letter written by Marshall to undergraduate students, faculty and administration about Pilgrim House residents.
